Discipline Policies
The standard by which all behavior is measured is based on shared respect for each person and his/her right to be valued in our setting. Situations that arise that require attention are handled so that both students and adults are afforded the respect and dignity they deserve. All students, teachers and administrators in our school are expected to:

RESPECT
-
the right of each person to learn and to teach in a safe, undisrupted environment
-
the individual learning styles of every person
-
the rights and property of each person
-
the individual personalities and attitudes of each person
-
the right of each person to ask questions
-
the ability of each individual to contribute to our program in his/her personal way
ANY BEHAVIOR THAT DOES NOT PROMOTE THE PHILOSOPHY ABOVE IS NOT APPROPRIATE AT EDISON. THERE IS A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR PHYSICAL CONFRONTATION AND FOR USE OF ALCOHOL OR OTHER DRUGS. AS A ZERO TOLERANCE ENVIRONMENT, EDISON RESERVES THE RIGHT TO RANDOMLY DRUG TEST MEMBERS OF THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT. ONLY THOSE STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND ADMINISTRATORS WHO EMBRACE THIS PHILOSOPHY WILL BE ASKED TO REMAIN.
